As you can imagine the Covid-19 virus is preventing the Foundation from holding some of our favorite community events as we remain vigilant and in-step with state mandates. The Foundation’s two major fundraisers are not taking place this year. The Labor Day 5K has been a tradition for a few years now but this race/walk cannot be held in 2020. We were planning some changes to our Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation Recognition Celebration, including having an event outside on the Boardwalk. Even with an outdoor celebration, we could not fully support the idea of having our enthusiasts gather in 2020. We are looking forward to a healthy 2021 with more and exciting events to fund our causes.
We are pleased to announce a Fall Paddle for Clean Water event. This well received outing is easily compliant with health department rules and is safe for all. Fall brings beautiful foliage to enjoy as well as some great exercise while gathering with your friends and neighbors on the water. Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Canoes, and non-motorized vessels are all welcome to join the event! Additional details will remain consistent with our summer paddle, ensuring social distancing and gathering on the lake rather than on land.
We will update you soon with more information and a date to save! Registration and donation information will be posted here. We are looking ahead to another Paddle for Clean Water/Fall outing. See you there!
