Please Read – It is our priority as members of the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation to protect and care for the well-being of the members of our community in the same manner that we strive to protect and care for our community’s water quality and environment. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with a heavy heart we must postpone our annual Earth Day clean-up and celebration until further notice. Please be sure to check back regularly and follow us on social media for Earth Day news and updates. Earth Day was started in 1970 and is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

Lake Mohawk Celebrates 7th Earth Day Clean-Up- April 17th, 2021

The Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation is sponsoring an Earth Day Clean-Up in and around the Lake Mohawk area in Sparta, NJ for Earth Day’s Fiftieth anniversary.

Earth Day Clean Up & Celebration

On Saturday, April 17th, starting at 8:30 AM, we will be kicking off annual Earth Day cleanup, celebrating Earth Day’s 50th anniversary! Come get involved for our seventh year, get the kids out and experience a sense of community and cleaning up Lake Mohawk for the upcoming spring and summer, while improving our lakes and streams! All supplies are given out on the same day, making it super simple to grab, have some breakfast, and go clean up our lake! So, create a team, come alone, bring the family, and let’s keep Lake Mohawk beautiful!

Remember we still need to continue social distancing, so please wear a mask when you come up to the tent to grab supplies, food, and to chat with your friends and volunteers.
