Paddle for Clean Water
Attention all avid Kayakers, environmental enthusiasts, and lake wildlife lovers alike:
Join us for Paddle for Clean Water: Our Second Annual Lake Mohawk Kayak Tour!
You are invited to join us on the morning of June 20th at 9:00 AM for an educational morning afloat Lake Mohawk. This year to assure we maintain safe social distancing, we will be operating as a "paddle in, paddle out" event. All attendees are asked to meet afloat along the shorelines of Happy Valley Beach to begin our educational tour together. Our tour will be lead by Emily McGuckin, Wallkill Watershed Ambassador, and will take us along the water's edge traveling up to Sleepy Lagoon, and back, and will include diverse areas of educational interest.
For registration and questions, please contact Marie Cramer at Marie.firstname.lastname@example.org.
A few notes for those looking to attend:
- All attendees are asked to have valid LMCC boat stickers visible on both sides of your vessel. Kayaks used in any other body of water other than Lake Mohawk must be cleaned with bleach prior to entering the lake.
- All attendees are asked to have a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFD for each person on board. For those 12 years of age and under, PFD must be worn at all times.
- We ask that all attendees maintain proper social distance.
- All attendees are requested to sign waiver and return via email.
We look forward to paddling with you and enjoying our diverse ecosystem here at beautiful Lake Mohawk.
Rain Date: Saturday, June 27.
